Studying in ITB has its own advantages and disadvantages. There are two main advantages in my opinion. The first is that ITB is wellknown for it’s reputation in producing high quality students with a character. Therefore, it shouldn’t be difficult for me to find a job, when I graduate from ITB. The second one is that the tuition fee in ITB is quite cheap compared to other private universities, with even a better quality. However, there is also one main disadvantage studying in ITB. That is that the relationship between me and my family who lives in Jakarta will be reduced. For me, my family is one of the most important things in my life. Therefore it is really hard to live and study without my family around me, since it is my first time living alone for a long time without my family.

Studying in ITB was like a dream come true for me. Why? Well let me tell you a little story about this dream. My father was an ITB graduate. He was a chemical engineering student. He was very proud of his almamater, he keeps on telling me story about ITB. As a young boy, all that i could do was just listening to his stories, but what do you know, soon after the name "ITB" was already printed in my brain, even when I haven't had any imagination about what's school is. So, the next thing is, i become curious until i founded out that ITB is the best education institution in this country. So, i decided that i have to study there. Well, a dream has been made. Slowly the road to fulfil that dream was built, i tried to study and make myself ready to be an ITB student, of course, that road wasn't going to be smooth. Many bumps ahead that should be passed, but i'm not afraid. Even when my friends and teachers didn't reckon me as a smart student, and doubted that i will be able to enter ITB, i was still sure that i could make it. But the biggest roadblock that lies, is when i failed the USM ITB. I was relying heavily on that test as my ticket to be an ITB student. But, what can i say, I couldn't passed the test. Therefore, i made an urgent decision: I have to fight for SPMB, i have to pass it, or i have to wait for another year to complete my road. So I used my remaining days to make me ready for SPMB. End of the story, I finally made it to pass SPMB, and the best thing is, I can study in ITB in the Departement that i want, electrical engineering. Well, the road is completed, a dream has become true. Alhamdulillah.

A family reunion is always brings a pleasure for me. First, it is a moment when all family members gather again in a homey place. There we can share our experiences, meet some old relatives, and tell some jokes. Besides, it is very nice to meet my little cousins. They are so cute, funny, and childish though sometimes very annoying. I love to play peek-a-boo or hit and run with them because it makes me feel like a child. Secondly. there are so much food served, like cake, fruits, soup, pasta, dim-sum and satay. All of those food is really make me hungry. The main menu in my family is Mpek-Mpek. Mmm.. Yummmy!! I've never get bored with that Palembang's food because my grandma actually has secret spices to make it more tasteful. Lastly, my family is often hold some games to cheer up the reunion. There are games to be played for some categories. Such as, blow-up the baloon for children, dancing competition for teenagers, or bakiak competition for mother and father. Moreover, those are really entertaining and make me laugh out loud. I'm just hoping that the family reunion is always held to build a stronger relationship.
